Q: Do you use a carbon footprint
calculator?
A: There are many different types of carbon footprint
calculators available on-line. Most are specific to one country and they all use estimates, averages and assumptions.
Working with the Green Coach is like having your own personal carbon footprint calculator who uses your
accurate consumption and cost data, telling you exactly how much impact you will have on the environment and how much
you can save.

Q:
Doesn't living green end up costing more, not less?
A: It can, especially
in the short term, but it does not have to. If you buy an expensive hybrid vehicle and then sell it
after three or four years, it probably will cost you more, and may not even turn out to be any better for the environment,
than other similar vehicles. But choosing not to buy bottled water, especially in small sizes, will almost always save
you money and be better for the environment. The actual amount that you will save (or the payback time until you start
saving) varies wildly depending on your individual situation.

Q:
Where do you get your data from?
A: The data on the environmental harm of a wide variety of things have been gathered from websites, books and
other resources for years. They are constantly cross-referenced and kept up to date. The data on your usage and
costs comes from you. During the first free session, many questions will be asked. The Green Coach will ask you
to refer to recent bills or may ask you to keep track of your spending on certain items for a short period of time, to ensure
the accuracy of your data.

Q: Will I turn into an eco-cheap
barefoot granola-eater?
A: Only if you want to!
The Green Coach will take you from where you are now to wherever you want to go down the path towards green living.
The Green Coach does not consider himself "eco-cheap", although it may be accurate to call him a frugal conservationist.
You can ask all the questions you want about how the Green Coach lives during your first free session.
